Veterans Day Program
Emily Schnelle
On Monday, November 11, students, staff, and other members of the community gathered at the high school to take time to remember the veterans who have served in our military.
Students in grades K-12 sang patriotic songs for the crowd and essays were read by winners of the Voice of Democracy and Patriot’s Pen essay contests. Speaker and author Barbara Eymann Mohrman also presented a slideshow of her family and the experiences the veterans in her family had during war. Barbara also brought in WWII artifacts for students to admire after her presentation.
